Noises & Errors Sound Effects Library
COVER
Library Overview & Details
The Noises & Errors sound library delivers 100 dedicated audio glitch, interference and hardware error sound effects designed for film sound designers, game audio developers, post-production editors and music producers. Unlike standard sound libraries that aim to eliminate technical flaws, this collection turns acoustic and electronic errors into creative building blocks. Featuring 40 organic source noises and real hardware errors alongside 60 designed unpleasant noises, these assets embrace the exact audio artifacts usually filtered out, from bad cable connections and phantom power pops to severe digital noise reduction artifacts, radio tuning static and harsh analog degradation.
Recorded using high-resolution gear, precise boundary and shotgun microphones, contact sensors and ultra-quiet field recorders, these files cover a broad spectrum of sonic profiles, from subtle tape hiss and vinyl clicks to aggressive cellular interference and raw electrical pops. The clean source capture provides extreme dynamic headroom and processing flexibility, allowing sound designers to easily stretch, pitch down, mangle or process the audio into cybernetic UI glitches, sci-fi energy weapon layers or disturbing horror tension elements.
40 organic source errors: Captured directly from real hardware and recording setups without artificial simulation, including XLR connecting/disconnecting pops, bad speaker contacts, capsule handling noise, phantom power spikes, radio frequency interference and digital deconstruction artifacts.
60 designed unpleasant textures: Features an extensive variety of custom-designed harsh, abrasive and glitched noise layers built for sci-fi sound design, horror beds, creature processing and transition effects.
Diverse analog and digital media flaws: Encompasses cassette tape noise, vinyl record pops, analog TV static, walkie-talkie bursts, monitor speaker hums and lavalier dropouts.
Pristine high-resolution capture: Recorded and compiled at high sample rates with clean signal paths to preserve full transient detail, high-frequency hiss and heavy low-end hums without unwanted conversion artifacts.

Technical Specifications & Licensing FAQ
What audio formats and specifications are included in the Noises & Errors library?
The Noises & Errors library delivers broadcast-ready, master-edited 24-bit / 32-bit float Broadcast Wave Format (BWF) files recorded at high-resolution (up to 192 kHz). All audio files contain embedded iXML metadata and standardized category tags.
Is this sound effects library UCS (Universal Category System) compliant?
Yes, 100%. Every audio file follows strict Universal Category System (UCS) naming conventions (Category-SubCategory-Vendor-Project-Description) with embedded keywords, ensuring instant searchability and categorization in Soundminer, BaseHead, Soundly and Reaper.
Can I use Noises & Errors sound effects in commercial video games and films?
Yes. Your purchase includes a worldwide, perpetual 100% royalty-free commercial synchronization license for video games (Unreal Engine, Unity, Godot), feature films, television, commercials and streaming media without recurring royalty payments. Refer to our End-User License Agreement (EULA) for full terms (AI/ML training is restricted without written consent).
What recording perspectives and techniques were used for Noises & Errors?
Recorded in controlled acoustic environments utilizing high-sensitivity condenser and contact microphones to capture subtle mechanical textures, clicks, resonance and tactile details.
